Anyone know how to fix this? We drilled one out and ran a whole new removal bolt. but the other two are very hard to get to. He was suprise himself that the work was harder then his supra

Please join in IF your planning to get one too. THIS IS COMING OUT OF MY OWN POCKET to make for the V6 who doesnt get allot of aftermarket supports.
IM not responsible if it fits your car or not or if it triggers CEL lights. Im told camry and solara both works so Im just passing on my project. Few members says it works so yeah.
I will not repond to this as much and only read my messages here once a week. Please email me Datsrboi@yahoo.com for questions or join solaraguy and post in that section. Other then that yeah.

Ok... I am NOT meaning to be negative, or in any way an donkey. So PLEASE don't take what I'm going to say personally, or in that form. I'm saying it having build a dozen or so y-pipes for lex/toy v6's in the past... So please respect that unlike anyone else here that may have an opinion on the matter. I am saying this from first hand experiance in making the things.
That merge looks like total crap. You "friend" needs to stop using the $40 chop saw & learn how to build a damned descent merge on a bandsaw.
It takes $250 to get a GOOD water lubricated 4*6 bandsaw setup. Why he's not using one when he's got acess to a TIG is completely beyond me. I'm baffled.
Don't worry about ditching the cat convertor & the post-cat o2 sensor freaking out. You CAN do it successfully by shimming the filiment completely out of the exhaust stream & leaving aruond 1-2mm of clearance around the filiment. I, like about everyone else, simply run a tap through a spark plug heli-coil & weld that on the pipe to fit.
The o2 sensor will still read about .45-.55v. The ECU will be happy & you can go cat-less for anyone that wants too.
Again. I'm not downing you in any way so please don't take it that way. I know what it's like to front your own money to help the v6 community. I fronted that & front alot of my time doing so.
I'm begging... Please... Fix the merge.
That being said if you don't. It's not going to kill you. Even with an ugly mistake like that you've already taken care of so many problems that the stock pipe has you'll still get good gains. Good luck with it.

Im afraid itll wreck havoc on my MPG!
sydemoid wrote:Ill definitely be in on this, depending on the articulation of the welds, meaning that I dont wanna get this, and have to rip it off later on, due to bad welds... kinda like some headers that were out there before.... no comment.
Now, I will assume that a Catalytic converter can be added to the exhaust after the flex coupler... same with the O2 sensor (just to keep the car smog legal).
Put me on the Maybe list... since you are only making a certain number, I may not be able to be on the list... lol
But I am interested though, now lets talk headers.... lol
