1. How do you take off the OEM shift knob? just the screws?
2. so I cut "1 inch" "ABOVE" the metal ring, rite?
3. What do I use to cut it off?
4. some hints about how to put the aftermarket knob on?
yo yo....i think my memory is coming back to me
answer 1. yea....i believe theres two screws...once u unscrew them, you should be able to pull the OEM shift knob off or it might pop out...im not sure (i just dont remember)
answer 2. you need to cut the outer-ring metal off but not the inner one with it. You need to cut the inner (skinny) metal LAST. In other words...you would be screwed if you cut the skinny and the outer-ring metal together.
answer 3. you need a small hand saw.....just saw it for about a good 30 mins.
answer 4. your aftermarket shift knob will come with screws of some sort. mine came with 3, so it was easy to put it on.
kevin, i would love to help you out but it has been years since i have done this and i really dont remember that much

im really sorry mang. But, I just want you to let you know that it is not that hard. if you get stuck....just let me know
all the best,
Steve
