i like the quality of the music - as long as my interior sounds like an orchestra i'm straight - but it's gotta hit low - i don't wanna have any regrets like i sometimes have heard with jl. the only complaint i've ever heard in regards to jl is "i wish it hit a lil harder"...
get the jl amp, it'll hit so hard your speakers will break
you will definately be happy, out of everything mentioned thus far, stick with the older ppi's or a jl amp
these ppl that say "i wish it hit a lil harder" did/have poor installations, installation is EVERYTHING. jl amps are highly respected in the industry
don't think i'm just sucking up to them b/c i have them in my car-- i don't
i have a rockford amp, once i get to it, i'll use an earthquake amp and probably an old us acoustics amp
in my opinion jl is too expensive, but their subs/amps are still insane
if you want your system to sound like an orchestra, i think you're going in the wrong direction, you'll need much better speakers, a 3-way system utilizing your kicks, etc etc
get the jl amp/the ppi amp, they are both overkill for your speakers
if i were you, i'd get some dinky 4-channel amp (ie 35-45w rms X 4) maybe an older us acoustics 4056, older rockford, etc etc...
the ppi amp and the jl amp keep the music more natural than anything else mentioned, if u want it to sound even better, you need to raise your budget
