Need advice on amp config.
I'm putting together a modest system for my 99 SLE and I need some advice on how I should configure the amps. The two amps I'm working with are an AutoTek Stealth Series 300.S and 500.S. The 300.S is 50x2 RMS at 4ohms and the 500.S is 150x2 RMS at 4ohms. I'll be running Infinity Perfect 6.1 components up front, 6.5" woofers and crossovers from a PPI Studio Driver component set for rear fill, and a single Infinity Perfect 10.1d 10" DVC sub. The way I look at it, I have two options:
1. fronts - 50x2 at 4ohms
rear fill - head unit
sub - 150x2 at 2ohms bridged (about 800W)
2. fronts - 150x2 at 4ohms
rear fill - head unit
sub - 50x2 at 2ohms bridged (about 350W)
The Perfect 6.1's are rated at 200W RMS (400W peak) and the Perfect 10.1d are rated at 350W RMS (1400W peak). If I choose option one, I'm afraid that the sub will overpower the fronts. If I choose option two, the opposite could happen. FYI, the sub will be in the rear corner of the trunk and the fronts will be in the stock location.
