Issues wit Whiteline front sway bar and OEM endlinks.....

I know some people on here have the Whiteline front sway bar.
Well i got some OEM end links from the salvage yard since the rubber boot on mine were torn and ate up from wear and tear.
Well i replaced the end links, torque the bolts down like no other.
A couple of weeks later i'm drivin' and i hear somethin' hit my car underneath soundin' like a rock.
I check my end link, and the bolt on the bottom that attachs the sway bar to the end link fell off.
Well i replaced it, and same thing happened after a couple of weeks.
Now a couple of weeks ago, i replaced the bolt again, but that time i put some thread lock on there, and today the bolt came off again!!!

I'm wonderin' if anyone that has a Whiteline front sway bar has had any problems.
I know a member or 2 had broken bushin' brackets.

My problem is the bolt for the endlink comes off, no broken sway bar bushin' bracket.

I'm to the point of makin' some custom front sway bar endlinks just like how Whiteline has in their catalog.

Anyone have issues wit the end link bolt comin' off??

Wow man, that sucks. The only thing I can recommend is possibly safety wiring them. I used to build a lot of motorcycles for the race track and safety wiried everything on them. I still safety wire all of my street bikes as well. The only thing with safety wire is that it won't hold up to stress, it will just prevent a bolt from back out. Some examples of items on a bike to wire up are any fluid holding bolt like a drain plug, brake caliper bolts, brake pad pins, hose clamps, radiator cap, and axle nuts.

If you want anymore info on it, let me know. I've gotten pretty good at wiring things up. Here are a couple pics to give you an idea of what I am talking about. This is one of my bikes.

This is my manual cam chain tensioner that is safety wired so it won't back out





Here is a pic of the front wheel. If you look closely, you can see the safety wire running between the caliper bolts and from the axle to the pinch bolt.

why dont your try that stuff that locks the bolts , there different color for different strengths, blue, red, ect .

You could also use Nord-Lock washers.

-Rear sway bar 20 mm
Energy Suspenion bracket part# 9.5157R
Both I ordered from Autozone.
I have non problems x 8 years now. The brackets coming with bushings

Loctite seems like the best solution, lock-wiring is not required for this situation

Thread locker and loctite are the same...
He said he used thread locker and it fell off.

I did buy the Energy Suspension bracket part number: 9.1560R
And It was way too big for my Whiteline front sway bar.....

Will be goin' to the salvage yard to get another end link see if that works.
Will be checkin' my driver side too.

Just an idea, you could solder the threads on the endlink, so that the nut won't be able to come off. And if you want to take the endlink off all you have to do is melt the solder off.

Maybe a little extreme, but it would work. :lo:

Thread locker and loctite are the same...
He said he used thread locker and it fell off.

Ok depends what kind he used theres different types for different bonding strengths
