KBB private party value without the mods is $5k. If it comes to that I'm going to be parting her out.

I figure the modifications that I could part out would make up a good part of the difference. I guess somewhere between $5k and $9k i.e. $7500 I'd let her go as a complete package.

If the mods are worth something off the car why wouldn't the be worth something on the car? I'm not talking about dealing with insurance but dealing with someone who would like a reliable, unique, well maintained, somewhat fast Camry.

Any suggestions of places to advertise online besides the forum? I'm not a big fan of ebay.

AutoTrader.com, Cars.com, Vehix.com (free), Craigslist, local car forums...

..but if you don't want to part it out, I think the only interest you are going to get is on here and TN.

X2 with KILLA CAM

But I've never heard of Vehix.com, that's probably why it's free.

I've tried to keep my Camry as "OEM TRD" as possible. I think it'll make it easier to sell. I kept all my old parts so I can always convert most of the vehicle back to stock if the new owner would want.

How I'm thinking it will play out is to find someone who will take it as a package for $7500-$8000 or I will part it out and take off EVERYTHING that isn't stock and sell it for $5000-$5500.

Thanks for all the positive responses. I've taken care of it as well as I could.

The tint that is currently on the car is 40% all around including the windshield. A crack recently developed in the windshield so it would need to come off anyhow to pass Maryland State Inspection.

It has had Mobil 1 (full Synthetic) and Mobil 1 filters, since day one every 5k and all maintenance on a strict schedule including every 5k rotation and balance and every 10k alignments, etc.

I take care of 6 cars in the family, so every one of them, including my own has a spreadsheet made up, all fluids (brake, coolant, trans, power steering, etc) every 45k, etc.

I had the clutch replaced at about 95k at a Toyota dealership.

I already bought the Sequoia and don't need both. I will be modifying it with among other mods a cat-back Borla exhaust and a TRD or K&N CAI. No TRD Supercharger/22" wheels/big brake kit/etc in near future.

Only things "wrong" on the car are;
1. Windshield crack
2. Small crack on foglight glass (still functions fine plus I have an extra set of the OEM foglights that will come with it).
3. A small electrical glitch that if I turn on the dome or map light, the clock will turn off.
4. A small hole has developed in the driver side leather (have a replacement leather seat cover as well).

My car is in the same *category* as yours (see my link below). I had it up for sale looking for $8k. Good luck  ..won't happen. Most potential buyers don't understand or appreciate the car or what we've done. I finally decided to keep it and do some more mods as well.

If you sell it, you'll NEVER really get what it's worth. Having said that, if you absolutley don't want 2 cars...then you're gonna have to settle for *peanuts* ...sorry.

i agree fully w/ RON, i was in the same boat a couple years ago. if i were to buy it id gladly pay the $7500 for the whole thing!!! i know how great the car is and what its really worth, unfortunately like RON said most people don't. all that said, i wish i could give you the $7500 i'd love the car.. but the freaking economy just kicked me right in the balls
anywho, g/l with the sale! and if you happen to still have it when i get $ straight i'll hit you up.

wow john didint know i would be seeing ur camry for sale so quick.

good luck w/ ur sale.

when i was selling my solara i was asking 8500 and had absolutly no inquiries.

then i parted out my parts.

sold the car for 5000 on craigs list. and all the parts sold on here.

i even made more money on the s/c then when i bought it. so all togather i still got in to that range 8000 at the end. so think about parting it out if you dont get any inquires for what ur asking.'

once again good luck.
