could be:
spark plugs.. (not gapped enough?)
spark plug wires.. (coil gone bad?)
alternator..
distributor.. (disk has corrision?)
timing belt.. (needs to be replaced?)
batteries is gonna die..
or my cylinder is now dead?

^^ Hey did u install the CPE intake yet?

I think it could be one of the wire from the intake...you could check that. Happen to me when I used to have the CPE intake.

The relation of your race to the problems your having seems fairly coincidental. Juding from my experience (and even midas' for example), connections with the MAFci and the ecu could definitely be causing your problems. Most of the reasons you listed above are unlikely, so I'd start with your electrical connections.

BTW, we don't have a distributor in the normal sense, so don't worry about that.

Did you check your plugs yet? My gf's corolla broke down last night, same kind of symptoms (the motor was shaking as if 1 cylinder wasn't firing). I replaced the plugs in the parking lot she was good to go! The leads on 1 plug was black and crispy.

If they're iridium plugs I don't think you're supposed to gap them at all.

Yeah you shouldn't gap Iridiums they should be a .044 gap out of the box I believe.
Trust me, I'm a technician.
