NEW SUSPENSION: WHAT SHOULD I GET?
I must admit upfront, I am completely and totally mechanically illiterate. I know where the gas goes and that's about it! I'm seriously thinking about changing the suspension (springs and shocks) on my 04 SLE. I've done a few searches on the subject, but I don't understand the abbreviations and terms used in most of the posts. Could someone please explain in as simple of terms as possible what you think I should do? Here's what I want.
I loved the ride of the SE Sport Solara, but needed the luxury options offered by the SLE. So now that I the SLE I want to give it the nice firm, sporty ride that the SE Sport had. I don't want the SLE to have any stiffer ride than the SE Sport.
Would you recommend I have my Toyota dealership merely replace my current shocks and springs with the factory shock and springs found on the SE Sport? Or should I go with a manufacturer who specializes in such suspension parts because they may be better quality and cheaper? I don't want to lower the car anymore than an inch at most!
Remember...keep it simple! I ain't real smart 'n stuff when it comes to talkin' dem carz.
If you need me to be more specific, please let me know what info you need.
