Front Brake "semi" kinda sorta performance upgrade

Well, we know the Ericsol brackets work on the Gen 3 Camry AND Gen 4/Gen 1 Solara, so the mounting holes for the caliper brackets are the same.

That being said, these are pics comparing the Gen 3 vs Gen 4/Gen 1 Sol brake pads/caliper brackets. The 94-96 Gen 3 V6 with ABS has twin piston calipers (as does the ES300).

I'll let the pics tell the rest.

So if i'm correct by the pictures.
The twin piston caliper is bigger, so it will work better??
Cause from the pictures the brake pad bracket looks like they line up good.
The brake pads look longer.
If they're a direct bolt on for brake upgrade, i'm set.

ES300 calipers allow for wider pads, which give more contact patch with the rotor, hence enhanced stopping power

So in summary, gen 3 brakes are better? What all would one need to run this setup? Calipers, pads, rotors, or anything else? And since this is off another camry, Id be able to retain my factory 15'' wheels as opposed to going with a gs300 brake upgrade

ALL you'll need is the Caliper, Caliper Bracket, and pads. Rotor is the same.

The 94-96 ES300 used the same twin piston caliper.

Since the Ericsol brackets work on the Gen 3 and Gen 4, we know the caliper and brackets (when done together) can be swapped between the gens.

Maybe a stupid question.......:
If i go to the Junkyard and i find there a brake caliper that fits the Ericsol bracket screw holes.... will it then work for the Camry?

I mean....i live in europe there are a lot of Audi/Mercedes/etc. on the junkyard with 2 and more pistons.

it will also depend on how deep the calipers are to fit the disc as well as the hydraulic line fittings
