Here is what Im getting ready to install in 2 weeks( when I say me I mean a pro)

Its the Vision by Page, and this thing is effin sweet. The best feature, besides the camera/night vision camera, is the turbo timer.

All RS work with 5sp, just depends on how safe you wanna be. On some systems, you're required to leave the car on when you exit the car, that way it knows you're in neutral and not in gear. Other systems pick up a signal from the neutral position switch.

Yeah, the one I'm installing has turbo timer too. It's a nice feature to have, I really liked it on my other car. 2mi range is useful too. The only thing mine doesn't have is temp and time-set starting. Like I want the car to start itself when it's 39deg outside, run for 5min, turn off, and monitor the temp again. If 3hrs later, it's still <39deg, I want it to run again. And I want the time-set so 6am every morn, it warms up so I can jump in the car at 6:05am.

This alarm has auto temp drop start. Check it out:

You can also manage your system anywhere in the USA with a touch-tone phone. I'm really thinking of installing this one over the one I metioned above.

Wow, that's quite an expensive setup.
$350 alarm
$188 add-on telematics module
$60/yr service

I'll look into the telematics option.

It also has the auto daily start for whatever time you set it at.

I'm not sure how long it lasts, but there throwing in the telematics module free. Plus two years service. After the two years is up the $60/yr service fee seems like a good deal considering what it cost to get a company to open your doors.

I read a little deeper into this product and found out that it has a garage door open feature. I park my baby in the garage, so I can set my remote to open the garage when I remote start my car. I've never heard of a product that does this.

I'm ordering mine right now!!!

I don't mean to be pessimistic orun approving, I'm just un-informed about the product.

The product wouldn't be plug-and-play for me, since I have manual. I'd have to use another add-on module (I know DEI has it) to make it safe for my use.

I didn't see where it said the first 2 years of telematics is free. On the telematics site, if you purchase the module they'll provide 3 years free. I find it hard how they can include the add-on plus the access fee for 3 years free.

I've sent that website to several people in that line of business awaiting their thoughts and opinions about the product.

There's another site that takes pics of the thief and sends the pic to your cell phone. Have you seen that?

The telematics mod is free, except shipping, when you purchase the SRT 9000 system for a limited time. The service comes with it for two years. Even if the service isn't free I will still pay the $60/yr. I lock my keys in the car atleast once a year. So IMO I think its worth it.

Ive seen a product similar to the picture sent to cell phone. The one I saw was the first one I mentioned were it sends the pics to the remote. Which one are you refering to???

I was given a Nordic Start for a christmas gift. The salesman told my parents that you have to buy a $90 module and then they have programing codes for it which they will not give out. Can any of the diy guys let me know what the truth is? Greatly appreciated.

That is highly inaccurate. There is no "programming codes".

Nordic start makes remote starters for manual transmission vehicles...just double check to make sure. Another thing you'll need is bypass module that will bypass the factory transponder key during remote start...(if your car has a transponder setup). That is probably the $90 part they were referring too.
