I have not had a problem with my NA one yet but I also padded each side with a poly bushing I will take a pict tomorrow. I will also be checking the bracket and reinforcing it if needed then maybe I will start selling a few reinforced braces on an exchange basis.

Here it is and yea thats rust welcome to NY we have salt on our roads 8 months out of the year.

Sweet, I already placed my order for the torque rod the other day. Where did you get the bushings for the lower part?

hey guys so i have a question my tranny is really loose it clanks really loud on the first and second gear but i know there is no problem with the tranny because it shifts well so i am think its the tranny mount but when i looked for parts on ebay i got a pic of the engine mount and on hear i see the pic of the tranny mount right below and to the right of the headers so i am confused?

the "torque rod" that we're referring to is the one that you are referring to as well- the one that's beside the headers. And that wouldn't be the source of your clunking- even if your stock engine torque strut is totally dead, it wouldn't make noise- you'll just get more movement in the engine when shifting and on acceleration.

Check your ACTUAL tranny mount. It is on the driver's side of the car under the tranny and mounted on a tranny plate (which is mounted on the tranny itself). You can remove your driver's side wheel and see it from there.

Okay so this is something I would not do on my own and yeah i do hear it when i accelerate from knot towhatever and when it shifts to the second gear but the noise is worse in the morning when i start it when i shift from park to r, or d litterally the whole engine moves almost. It gets okay throughout the day but it still moves.

well, that still points towards your mounts

when the car is cold, the idle is higher, and thus, there is more power being made, which would result in more shaking than later in the day when the idle is at low idle

check all your mounts, and if you don't know how, find somebody who does, or take it to a mechanic

this problem won't kill you most likely, but it will only get worse, putting extra strain on your axles, hubs, other mounts, etc etc

^ Can't order just the bracket, you have to buy the whole torque strut assembly in order to get it. I have a brand new bracket available though, PM if you're interested.
