I'm sure it is the higher bore. The compression should be the same since the stroke is the same and the head remains also the same. Maybe the bore makes the compression rate decrease a bit compare to a stock 1MZ.[/quote]
Well the compression on a 1mz is 10.5 to 1 and the 3mz is 10.8 to 1, well the way I see it, I just bore out the block .3 and I'm using the 3mz head gaskets which are twice as thick compared to the a 1mz, I'm thinking my compression has gone done.
