I am done rolling on 19"
After about 8 months worth of headache$$$$, I have decided to give my 19" rims a rest.
19" rims are way too delicate for my area (SF/Bay Area). I drive 65 on the freeway and is very careful and alert to road conditions. I am very caucious. I have even memorized exactly where the pot holes are and can perform lightning quick lane changes to avoid new ones. In fact, pot holes hunting has become a hobby of mine. I am obssesed with them like a guy on crack. But still, no matter how careful I am, it happens. My rims are f*cked again.
Happens every other month seems like. Waiting for AAA isn't fun on the side of the road. Once they arrive, there's the towing drama associated with lowered cars. This is just driving me nuts. To top that off, wheel repair is about $250 and takes about a week. Thanks god for full size spare tire.
I have decided to get my old trusty, hub centric, 17" TRD Revos repaired and put back on. It's small but at least it will give me peace of mind.
Bye wheels!
