Weird rattling sound in the rear...?

Weird rattling sound in the rear...?

Postby tweazy » Wed Apr 02, 2008 4:39 pm

Lately I have been noticing this rattling sound in the rear passenger side of my car. At first, I thought it was something in my trunk so I went and removed everything in it but the sound is still there. I then checked my spare tire and the jack thinking maybe it was loose with no luck. So I kinda put it aside... and decided to replace my rims instead.

Now, I just about hear it everytime even on smooth roads.

Any idea what this might be? I am starting to think this is either my sway bar or my coilovers...

Could be that ur struts are going bad, or the mount.

^probably woldnt be a strut mount if he has coilovers, since its more similar to a one piece design, but maybe something in the assembly is loose.

Yeah, i don't think its the coilover itself but its starting to sound like it might be the 3 top bolts that hold the coilover in place.

That thing is so hard to get into. I spent more time removing my entire rear interior than installing the coilovers last time... :(

Thanks for the tip.
