Well the exhaust arrived today. It looks good and damn 3 inch piping is big. The muffler is a offset in center out straight through design with a perforated baffle. Same with the with the two resonators. The muffler is about the same size as the TRD muffler and holding it up under the car it looks like the tip ends about the same place. It also looks like it would be easy to cut it back and add a custom tip.

The welds look decent about on par with the Dat Y pipe I picked up. The piping has a nice finish and is approx .116 thick judging by the tip. The actual inner diameter is about 2.85 thick for approximately a 3 inch outer diameter. This may be better for NA applications than having a full 3 inch inner diameter actually it makes me quite happy.

I do not have a stock flange to test it against but is does fit on a universal 2.5 inch flange like the one on my high flow cat. The exhaust comes with all gaskets and stainless hardware.

The hangers look about right and the o2 sensor looks like it would be in the right place all together I am pleased. Hopefully tomorrow I will have a chance to install it. Thats all for now let me know if you have any questions I will keep you updated.

First I am going to test fit it then I am going to decide how my NA engine likes it. If the performance stays good I will probably just keep it. Otherwise I will sell it to a SC member. But I do plan on making sound clips and comparing it to my TRD exhausts.

Personally I think even if the muffler does not sound too good 300 for the piping and resonators alone is still a good deal. Just the components alone would be at least 200-250 in smaller quantities.

I got it on ebay just search for Solara OBX but you should wait until I put it on and then you can decide what you think.

Another interesting thing is the date of manufacture is mid December so it must be a recent product.

looks good man

welds look solid, at least from the pics

once you install, let us know how all the parts line up... if there are any problems with the flanges or hangers.

considering the price, if it turns out sounding/feeling/looking good, i bet OBX will see a slight surge in the solara exhaust sales thanks to you.
