ONLY have the brake light issue, then I would suggest topping off the fluid like the other posters mentioned....but since you need to gain access to the "keyless box"...........

i understand what your saying IVANHOE, I do realize that he has to gain access to the keyless box. What im saying though, is that before he starts doing anything in there, he should just top off the brake fluid. what if he starts messing around w/ some wires and makes it worse (not saying that it will happen)?

if you feel like you need to take the center console apart first, then pls be my guest and do so. if it turns out that it WAS the problem, then i apologize, if it turns out to be what I and everyone else stated, then im glad you found a solution. other then that, I'm done.
