What is winter beater ?
winter beater is generally referred to as a backup inexpensive car you drive during harsh weather (heavy snow or rain) especially if you put money into your car modifying it as Sebastian or anyone else does.
If lets say you do have an old car to drive during harsh weather then keep your Solara garaged/protected at this time and go for the Eibach springs...If not, then go for the TRD springs for year-round functionality.
I'm also sure that TEIN makes lowering springs...similar to the Eibachs...but TEIN is more reputable in my opinion. However, if you really want to spend $$$ then you cannot go wrong with the TEIN SS Coilovers. You can adjust the height on these springs and offers a super sharp handling and firm ride. Throw in a TRD Rear Sway Bar FTW!
