HID vs. stock
Yes, I know... a lot of people here are going to rag me about this but here is my honest opinion. As far as usable light do not get HIDs, UNLESS you do a full retrofit using a genuine HID lens. I have the HID kit (not a retrofit) and the look great from outside, but from behind the wheel the stock produced more "usable" light in projecting light down the road in front of me. I, like many of you, do not like the stock color but I am not sure if any of you have tried using an H9 bulb (which is a 65 watt high beam bulb) in the H11's place. The projector lens will keep it from acting as a high beam in the way of the cutoff focus of the low beam's lens. The H9's socket can be modified very easily to fit into the H11 socket. I am going to do this myself and will post pics when I am done. Again, I know that the HIDs look better aesthetically, but functionally the light in front of the car does not project farther or appear brighter, just the side of the car does.
