Hey folks, anyone know where I can find some good door protectors and/or pinstripes? I'm looking for something that would blend in real well.

i bought one b4, and it's not working that good..
i'm still looking for better solution.

and pinstrips,
i just bought the stuff from AutoZone and DIY.
it's pretty easy to do on solara since it has sharp edge.

I work at a car dealership, so the vendor that does all the pinstripes on our cars did mine for free 8) The perks of being a foxy female 8)

The tape pinstripes work just as well, and you can lay them out yourself. Just look down the car as you lay them on. Have a razor blade handy to make cuts between the door and fender panels, and at the ends, of course. This is much cheaper and faster than a paint job. I have done both professionally and like the tape better.

Anywho, no door protectors are going to blend in with the lines on this car. My favorite is the Solara that rolls around DC with these giant "chrome" door guard strips running down the side of the car. I keep trying to get a picture of this one when I see it. Man, is it ugly.

I think the beauty of this car is that it is styled on all sides, and putting extraneous flippity bits on it is just going to make it junky. I deal with the dings, even with my black paint. Then again, I park in a nice area and don't get many dings. If you are getting them chronically, then I could see ... parking way at the end of the parking lot! Please don't put door guards on your ride!

Hey, that's just my opinion. Post some pics of the stripes and guards when you get them.

:o I like pinstries, I think the accentuate the lines of a car, I chose a color that matched the color of my rims (a very dark gray) and IMO looks very good, I don't think I'd get door protectors some dealerships (like drew auto group in la mesa) put them on whether you want them or not. I think they're kinda stupid cause unless the car next to you has em you're still gonna get dinged, and afer a while (if you get color matched ones) they fade and look really tacky... I've had my car for 3 weeks now and I've already got 2 door dings, stupd appartment parking lot... I park out on the street now so I don't get dinged

I was thinking of getting black and white pinstripes with a little checkered flag motif near the back of the car. nothing too big just a little accent. I thought it might look good on a red car? Any ideas?

I'll take a pic of my door protector and load it up to my imagestation tomorrow. It blends in real well with the car's body.
