The tape pinstripes work just as well, and you can lay them out yourself. Just look down the car as you lay them on. Have a razor blade handy to make cuts between the door and fender panels, and at the ends, of course. This is much cheaper and faster than a paint job. I have done both professionally and like the tape better.
Anywho, no door protectors are going to blend in with the lines on this car. My favorite is the Solara that rolls around DC with these giant "chrome" door guard strips running down the side of the car. I keep trying to get a picture of this one when I see it. Man, is it ugly.
I think the beauty of this car is that it is styled on all sides, and putting extraneous flippity bits on it is just going to make it junky. I deal with the dings, even with my black paint. Then again, I park in a nice area and don't get many dings. If you are getting them chronically, then I could see ... parking way at the end of the parking lot! Please don't put door guards on your ride!
Hey, that's just my opinion. Post some pics of the stripes and guards when you get them.
