First off, if you can find an 04 get that cause at this point the dealer will pretty much pay you to take one. If you don't go through the internet you just gotta work em. Every invoice is different and at most places if you're not a manager you never see the actual invoice. The dealership where I work is pretty lax so I know that on a Hyundai Santa Fe for example invoice cost is about $1000 less than MSRP there's not alot of markup on hyundais, but you also have to remember there is a dealer hold back a tiny little number in the corner of the invoice that's usually 500-1000 dollars, you can take that from em too if you work em hard enough, then there's the dealer cash that the dealership gets when they sell so many units, for example when my dealership sells 30 sonatas we get an extra 500 per copy 70 and we get 1000 so there's definately more money in there than "invoice cost" if the dealership sells you a car at invoice they're still makin some money off ya... And also if you opt to buy anything in finance NEGOTIATE THAT TOO! that's where I made my mistake, I paid 2000 for an extended warranty I could have gotten for 800, and I paid 600 for my gap insurance that I could've gotten for 180 dollars... So in short JUST GRIND ON EM start really low, then they'll come back with a counter offer, then you have to counter it again, and so on till you get what you want... Try not to worry about getting the best deal, and figure out what you can afford before hand, find a car that you love, then try to make everything make sense for you! who cares if they make a little profit... just remember that there's always gonna be a better deal out there somewhere, what's important is that you are happy with your purchase.
