If I could do it over I would have just gone to best buy or circuit city, it would have been cheaper and at least I know they do more correctly than f*cked up.
Pardon my lady-like French

To this day my car starter is a thorn in my side every single morning.
I agree with you 100%. Take it to a professional place that warranties their work. I've always taken my stuff to Circuit City, but a while back I had Prestige APS996A car alarm installed on two of my cars and the place that I took it to didn't deal with it on a daily basis. Then to find out, they outsourced the labor work, which ended up causing me more headaches. It was too much hassle and I had to work around their hours and they didn't work on the weekends or after 5 pm.
The install was so-so, the guy never installed that model or brand and it took forever and a day. In the end, I was still not happy with the optional features that I requested.
I had the basic remote start, passive alarm, trunk release and door. But I wanted auto up and down when the car was off and when the car was on as well. The auto up/down was only on the driver side and not the passenger side. It was just a big mess, the guy wanted to charge me more to have that feature installed.
In the end, I got the auto up and down only when the car was off. I could basically auto up and down (individually, one side up/down at at time) my windows to entertain my friends or peeps walking by...lol.
Any who, I didn't get what I originally wanted, so I told the guy and they ordered me this other relay. I didn't take it back to the original installer. Instead I took it to cc and they charged me 45 bux and reworked all that bs wiring. I'm very, very happy with my alarm now. I have auto up and down on the passenger side. Also, I can crack the windows and they both automate (roll up and down) at the same time.
The shop assistant manager at cc did all the work on my ride and he was very professional. The best part was that they worked around my hours and the workmanship is warranted!
Do not try to get someone to do it on the side to save 25 or 50 bux, because in the long run you will regret it.
