Sounds like you got a nice project going yourself. -JoeB

I would highly recommend getting your rods/pistons/block cryotreated. It's worth every penny in the reliability you will get from your motor.

Mine is going to be a built turbo 5SFE... CP pistons 8.5:1 CR, Pauter rods, machined and sleeved, ported/polished/machined head, Ferrea valves, HKS headgasket, balanced/blue printed, etc etc. For now Im sticking with my stock 5 speed, but in another month or two after this is done Ill be swapping in an E153 tranny with Kaaz LSD and V6 axles/hubs. Then Ill be able to get my power down to the ground. My goal is to be able to lay down 250+whp all day long with all the reliability of a daily driver, and then be able to dial up the boost whenever I want for a little extra fun...

Later on down the line (like end of the year, beginning of next) Im thinking of doing a turbo upgrade to the Blitz KKK turbo kit... Id be running 25+ psi all day long and making huge power with that. :o

I'm sure, easy slip. I would LOVE to have her rear wheel drive! OOOOOHHHH HOOOOOO!!! I'd be a maniac!!! It's probably a very good thing it is front wheel drive. I'd get in WAY too much trouble! I'd be drifting all over the place! -JoeB

That sounds AWESOME! Definitely keep us posted on the project! I love to hear what others are doing and it sounds like you are doing it right. It's a little late for cryo-treating on my engine the assembly is just about complete. Having it to do over again and a little more time, I'd have gone for it! -JoeB

Peter! Great to see you back, been a while indeed! Take a look at Greg Anderson's and Rizal's (shidosha01) block. You'll notice some similarities  . Carlos Jr. of Arrieta MotorSports in Clinton, MD. did all 3 of ours! We'll all be at the same show in April too. I can't wait! How've you been and what's up? -JoeB

Yeah, its not an absolute neccesity. Its just an extra measure to take to ensure complete reliability. Good luck ever blowing out a set of rods and pistons that have been cryotreated. Either way, yours will hold up just fine. Ill be posting my progress soon... Im picking up my pistons tomorrow and Im still waiting on my rods to come in.

Now I'm really getting excited! The engine is done and coupled to the rebuilt tranny! They are being dropped into the car as I type this! Still a few projects to do so I won't be picking the car up until around March 4-5. It's going to be hard to wait! -JoeB
