it's bogus.
you're better off buying that cardboard turbo. the thing sounds like a vaccum when you hit the switch. search it up on youtube, it's hilarious what people say.

But for those who love,

get it!

get 2 of them and wire them up to your streering wheel horn button. Be like Paul Walker in FnF so when you hit the buttons on your wheel, itll spool up the power adders. LOL

hope you guys got your flame suits on.

I actually feel bad for people who have bought this piece of crap you would be better spending you money on CPE with the larger K&N filter. Or on some extra soft TP

electric s/c's are junk. There's only one that i know of that might have actually worked, but for it's price you could have pieced together your own turbo kit (knight motorsports or something like that). Not to mentioned the strain in put on the electrical system....that thing drew A LOT of amps

It's all in good fun bro. I didn't mean to unleash the Hounds of Hell on you but it's been a while since the last bashing on the electric superchargers.

Honestly, although I have yet to hear the solid argument why it doesn't work. (Just for the sake of the debate.)

1) We know there's a drain on the electrical system. One electric supercharger I saw was a roots type. However it required you to have 4 mini 12v batteries and a stronger alternator to handle the loads. With the added weight of the batteries, I question the net gain.

Just so we can put this to issue bed, can any of you forced induction guys explain why this wouldn't work?

Tested.
http://www.homemadeturbo.com/tech_proje ... index.html

But the easiest way to think about it is when you run your car feel the force of air being brought into the engine. If you put your hand over the TB and someone opens it your hand feels like it will brake. If the electric supercharger does not generate more force than this it will not be of any gain.

violates the first law of thermodynamics: energy can neither be created nor destroyed....applied specifically: you cannot make more power out of a system without putting in more power. this actually drains more power (to power the fan), but does not have a compression chamber to have the air PSI increase (meaning that you're still burning at stock compression rates). this law of thermodynamics is more clearly illustrated by how an actual s/c has parasitic loss on the engine from running a belt (taking energy to make energy), versus how a turbo uses wastegate gases (exhaust) to power the turbine (making some power out of a previously un-tapped resource).

secondly, this product is nothing more than a bilge pump. meaning that it cannot force more air into the intake, such as a turbo or actual (real) supercharger would. notice on a real supercharger the specific design(s), which functions to keep air going in one direction (centrifugal, screw-type, etc). it's the same function that the turbines perform on a turbo...yet on this fan/pump, it has no high-pressure area, or any means to guarentee that the PSI will stay above an atmospheric value.

also, if you google it and check it out more in depth, you will notice that their main argument for why their product works is because of air flow per minute, or something .... whereas everyone who knows anything about forced induction knows that the standard to set your watch by is PSI (lbs/sq. inch), not liters/min (or whatever their ratio is). they insist that due to extra airflow in, it causes a supercharger effect. . .

you'd have to be pretty gullible to buy that (both literally and figuratively).

AND, you'd be better off buying some aquarium hose, some whippets (in the cartridges), and a whip cream dispenser, and running a hose from your dash to your intake to give yourself miniature squirts of NO2 ... at least that way you can get high after you realize you just wasted some money.

anything i forgot?

Thats about it^!
...beat me to it. I want one of the old superchargers that is driven directly off the crankshaft!
