New pics- Trunk and custom CAI... careful 56K

I finally was able to make some more changes! I started with a custom CAI made by the shop that sponsors my team. They used 3" intake piping and ran the filter down into the fender. I think its a little shorter than the UPFD one was, but it's doing a great job!

My trunk went through a major overhaul. Replaced a JL300.2 and 2 12" Infinity ref's with one 12" L5 and a PG 500.1 I wrapped it in blue suede to match my car club vinyl, and khaki suede to match my interior. I'm still waiting on 2 more pieces that will be in khaki suede also. One to go around the sub from floor to ceiling, and another to run from the base of the sub to the rear wall of the trunk.

Let me know what you think, and if you have any questions feel free to ask!

The filter is at 10:00 in relation to the wheel

The piping passes through just below the fuse panel

That light is blue neon and sound sensitive. It's going right below where the window meets the frame, and the last two pieces will cover those screws.

You know, for all the sh!t that ebay special gets, I haven't had a single problem with it. It fit the air flow sensor very well, never gave me any problems idling, and despite the loss in torque I did get a small hp gain. I had it on for about a week before I could finish the rest of the intake, and nothing struck me as being funny.

As far as the whole intake goes, I'm sure there's a few differences between this and the UPFD, as mine's has less bent mandrel piping and is shorter. However, given the rareity and discontinuation of the UPFD extension (as I was told when I ordered my springs from them a 2 months ago) this thing is great. I've noticed an increase in hp, but I don't have access to a dyno to find out for sure. It did lose some low end torque, but that was to be expected.
