WTB: Intake & Other Parts 01Solara

Hey guys, I've been on solaraguy browsing for a while but never really posting. But I've decided to start building my Solara even though people say its a waste of money.

I own a 01 Solara v4 Base model[yea, i know] but it was given to me for free from my aunt and I've just started to look into more mods than just a system.

I'm in need of an Intake that'll fit my car... looking for SR [Short Ram] because of the downsides of having a CAI in socal during the raining seasons [unless they dont really matter]

I'm also looking for a set of lowering springs for my car as well as decent priced shocks and camber simply for looks, performance doesnt really matter to me seeing as how it is a v4.

I've been kicking myself in the butt since I missed out on a set of Tien [s] springs for 165 shipped on ebay so yea.

Basically I need and intake that'll fit my motor [nonames are fine] and springs.

I have a V4 in my motorcycle does yours spin out to 10k as well or is it the poopy 6.2k that the camry i4s spin out to.

That sucks you only have the base model. The v4 SLE comes lowered with a short ram already in it.

so no help huh? thats fine i mean it's not really my call that im driving it. what can i say, it was free! i was rolling around in an eg with a gsr motor in it for a while but it was stolen [socal, what do you expect] and i was in need of a car.

i mean i honestly dont know much about toyotas which is why i need help here. i dont have money to buy or even down anything i'd want anyway so this is what im stuck with for a while and it honestly isnt that bad...

but if this is how its like then its fine i guess?

well im glad you like the solara. parts for the v4 are available at any ATV or motorcycle shop. however, the 2.2 liter inline 4 cylinder that your solara has doesnt have much aftermarket support. if you are stuck with the car then id suggest keeping it stock and enjoying the trouble and payment free transportation.

hipknotik, just in case if you haven't caught it yet...

You don't have a v4 engine. It's an inline 4 engine. I'm thinking about selling my short ram intake but my model is different from yours. Good luck with the search.

you can get a decent injen SRI from nopi or ebay. Tien springs work well I would recommend tockio struts. After you lower it fix your camber tires that have the / \ look are just plain stupid.

I have a 00 l4, and I already gave up searching for an intake, however what I did is, I bought a K&N drop in air filter and then I cut a hole on the bottom of the air cleaner box"about 3~4", then hook it up with a Carb hose and mount it to the front, that work pertty well for me!
P.S find a use one"air cleaner box" b4 you cut anything, incase you mess it up, you can still use the OE one.
