Looks good I like the heat shield. You are one of the first people to get one most gen 2 people get the injen intake but I like the look of this better.

Yeah. I was going to return this one and go for the Injen. But like you said, everyone and their mother's have that one (not to say that it's bad or anything), I just like to be a lil different. Plus it was too much of a hassle to return this one with all the shipping and restocking fees and all.

I'm very interested in your install. I also have a 2.4L under the hood and this kit looks promising especially due to the heat shield. I can only wonder about the seal and actual performance. Good luck on the install and post pics ASAP!

Not sure if it is accurate sense companies tend to hype things but here is K&N's dyno of that intake on the 2.4L camry

Guess you haven't seen the 2007 Camry 2az...it puts out 14hp, but in the end, only to match the hp levels of the kit j_dizzo is installing. I guess the 2007 Camry is more restrictive than out Solaras?

Alright here's the pix as promised. took about an hour or so.
Before: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3297/321 ... 86.jpg?v=0

After: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3379/321 ... 1f.jpg?v=0

and another after: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3103/321 ... ab.jpg?v=0

Sorry again, don't know how to post pix. and that my car is pretty filthy under the hood, haven't had the chance to wipe it down.

After a short test drive on the freeway this is what i can say. Better response time, and increase in acceleration, and of course the obvious, the sound lol. Was it worth it? ya I would say so. esp for the better response time part. I'll keep you guys posted as I get to drive it more.

P.S. Pix were taken with my phone this time (htc tilt) so quality isn't as great.)

Only issue (if you wanna call it that) that I have is that the cone is slightly touching the fuse box, but not biggie, if anything it'll help it stay put. Let's try this pix thing again.
