Let's not let this spin into another Injen vs. CP-e debate. (As much as I would like to see that answer. ) We should donate funds to Jeff - aka PXL so he can dyno his current setup before install and then install the CP-e at the shop. The install should be done quickly to keep similar ambient conditions yet allowing proper cool down.

So please start a new thread since this one is already spinning out into a Y-pipe discussion. LOL

PXL will be the first owner of both. And we've never had a head to head dyno on the same car, and I've never seen Injen track results, only cp-e. So PXL's butt dyno will be interesting. He's had Injen for long enough (1 yr maybe) that any change will be pretty noticeable.

(Sound is the only comparison we've had... cp-e is deeper)

To all others: Mike (Down2TheC) and I tried a couple years ago. (7/05) He had the CP-e installed and I had my Injen. We dyno'd his car with CP-e and then his car with the Injen intake and the CP-e customizer disabled. Unfortunately there was a technical issue with either the dyno data or the MAF customizer. I can't remember which. In other words, we couldn't get a good comparison. Bummer. This is why I strongly recommend Jeff to dyno the Injen first and then CP-e with the customizer.

Jeff, we're committing you already. LOL.

Well, I only ask since I am going to do a exhaust cut off on the Gen2, Might as well get the Intake with the MAF chip (or whatever it is), and get in on this group buy for the y-pipe.

Dude that's awesome. It's like removing your muffler at will! Isn't CHiP gonna be all over ya?

And the '05 Dyno quest was goofed because I didn't know how to properly bypas the customizer at the time. cp-e did the install and used a power source different from the final instruction sheet. So I was hooking 12V to the MAF sig. d'oh!

Jeff could put arg to rest though. Once you're installed and happy you can go from cp-e to injen in minutes. So no major install effort on the dyno. If you have a paypal, I'll chip in for the dyno time. Read my intall tips in the tut section so you hook it up with reverting to stock in mind.

Far away to be an exhaust pro...but a balance in the pressure of the exhaust system is important to keep the intake sucking force, isn't it ?
