Do gen2.5 V6 cars also have the darker (charcoal?) engine cover as apposed to the silver/gray one on the gen2? My fiancee's 02 camry has the 2az and the engine cover looks like a baby version of the one that's on my 3mz. Silver, that is. I like to tell her how cute her little engine is.

Hey everyone, still have yet to get that clip. sorry! I'll get it up one of these days. Some new changes I've noticed other than the ones mentioned before during the initial test drive, is better milage. I drove from Riverside to LA today an approx. 70 mile drive and was surprised when i saw that I was getting 28.4 AVG. MPG. compared to the 23-25 i was getting before (from the display on the dashboard) which is pretty accurate given that when I actually tested it before (using a calc), the # i got was actually better then the comp. You guys may have already known this was gonna happen, but it's a change i noticed and now I'm passing it on to those who are thinking about doing something similar. Stay tuned, I'll continue to post any more changes i notice and hopefully get that clip up.

Excellent vid...and video title (can't get the wrong part if you'd want exactly what you have).

Still, I didn't see the rubber weatherstrips they show on the website...don't they help with partial sealing? Also, with that metal heatshield on, do you still use the long snorkel tube that breathes on top of the radiator (not that it would matter much with an SRI)?

thanks. if you're talking about the rubber strip you put on the heat shield, I decided not to put it on, it wasn't being very cooperative. As far as the part of the stock intake that sits on top of the radiator, i took it off, extra stuff in there that I dont need in my opinion. The only thing I left from the stock system was the resonator, didnt feel like taking off the battery and all that. esp since one of my ballast for my HID is taped on to there and the body.

Alright, I just asked because the K&N heatshield appears to hook up to the snorkel....then again, I could be wrong.

o. no the heat shield bolts on to the bracket the stock intake was bolted on to. so ya two separate pieces.

I have the same K&Nalso and love it, I could have found it a little cheaper on ebay, but I wanted a valid warranty so I got it at here. K&N 69-8609TTK, or you can try one of the vendors on the forum here, you can usually find a good deal that way as well. This was very easy to install and I love it.
