A member on here ran a 15.89 with a gen 2 5speed with TB spacer, Intake, headers and exhaust. Gen 1 v6 5 speed runs about 15.3-15.6 factory you be the judge.

the 4 bangers can be made quick but it is gonna cost ya, in your search for after market look at scion tc for internal and bolt ons, but be warned nothing is direct "bolt on"for the lara , but with the ever growing 2az market your options are endless. Check out nittos TC hit over 800whp on stock crank, I dont remember the link just google it

The Gen 2~2.5 I4's are slow. They run 16+ in the 1/4mile, and don't respond well to bolt on mods. Now with internal work, its different.

Who really knows if they don't respond well to bolt on mods ??? No one tried serious stuff. I think there is not enough proof that the Gen 2 2AZ-FE cannot react well to a turbo setup like some Gen 1 2AZ-FE...I really think it should be the same.

Someone also said he went to dragway and did a 15.89 sec run stock or so...well I think this engine can be turboed and will take it right...anyway

My 2AZ resonds good to my bolt on mods

Headers, CAI, Exhaust. You can feel the differance from stock!

a turbo kit is not considered a bolt-on.

and as for intakes, exhausts and a header, it doesn't respond well. We get very minimal gains. watch the scion tc forums. Same motor.

High Compression would give this engine a bit of power... a Gen2-2.5 NA 200hp 2AZ-FE is achievable and, quite nasty with all that torque and a 5-speed

It would probably be similar performance to a 5 speed gen 1 v6
