CPE Intake problems and questions..help

So me and my brother were installing the CPE today and i found out that the instructions they sent me were for a 3.5 Altima.

So i went on with the installation and now i have to cut the red wire but the diagram wires are different from the Solara ecu.
Can anybody help me with the ECU diagram? Or which wire to cut?

Ok what will happen if i drive my car without the MAF customizer?

Iam supposed to cut #31 by the way

Any help on this, is really appreciated, all i can do is just look at my solara parked at the driveway.

Did you try to match the wires from the altima to the solara?

Using the hidden search function at the top of the page (hint hint) I found this in the tutorial section nay chance someone posted one in the 2.5 section?

Don't ever run the CP-e 3.5" pipe wihtout the blackbox installed and wired !!

The thing is your ECU is reading air speed in a 2.75" diameter pipe in stock form. However, now with the CP-e you run a 3.5" pipe. There is 2 way to explain the same exact thing.

1 - It asks, for a same amount of air, less air speed to the 3.5" to provide the same air volume as the 2.75" would.

2 - It gives, for the same air speed read by the MAFS, lot more air volume for the 3.5" compare to the 2.75"

Bottom line : if you run without the MAFci (black box) your ECU will think it still get the 2.75" dia pipe and will read pretty low air speed sending low fuel. It will make your A/F lean probably too lean !! I went to dyno the thing in 2006 and the tech were asking the samething. I warn them about what I've heard. The A/F gauge was displaying too lean result...I mean can be dangerous to the engine.

Also, I've the tuneable because I was wishing the TRD SC to come up someday. But I think for now it doesn't give anything.

Just to let you know, the black box is common for non-tuneable and tuneable. What the tuneable has more is the extra port to connect to a computer.

It is serious stuff. Call CP-e and tell them the error they did and wait to get the proper installation guide !
