Help, I lost a nut!

Help, I lost a nut!

Postby hskrsolara » Tue Jun 17, 2008 10:30 pm

Hey guys,
I was tinkering around, putting in a ground kit, and noticed that the nut and lock washer that attach to the chamber stay, on the back of the s/c, is missing! It must not have gotten tightened down enough and worked its way off.

The spacer is still there, gladly I didn't lose that.

Anyone know what size/thread this nut is? It is on page 14, figure 34, of the s/c install manual. I definitely don't want the chamber stay slapping around in there. Thanks!

well, first off...no worries...it's not going to kill anything to not have it on....

and second, it's a 12mm nut with the usual toyota thread (I believe 1.25 fine) so, just about any toyota 12mm nut should work

I lost mine as well. The nut only cost around $.50 from toyota, but it's an easy piece to find at a hardware store.

What does the space look like is it round like a washer only really tall? Or something else.

yep, you got it. It's about 1/2 inch long and brass in color. However, remember these brass spacers are very tough to find in a normal hardware store. You're better off finding a fastenal, those guys have just about anything you need.
