Dyno Run after Supra MAF/Dats Y-pipe

Dyno Run after Supra MAF/Dats Y-pipe

Alright, well let me first start off by saying that I know these numbers are skewed (no two dynojets are the same and they'll both give you different numbers even at the same settings).

That being said, I finally got around to putting the Supra MAF on and was finally able to get it dyno'd. I've had Dats Y-pipe on there for a while and got Midias's high-flow cat on there just a couple of days ago. Again, some may call BS, but I refer you to my first paragraph....
After a series of pulls, after saturating the engine with fuel (40%) across the spectrum starting at 3000RPM and retuning from there (based on Gabe's recommendation), ended up at 355HP. We let her cooldown and take a break before we started fine tuning. We actually de-tuned my A/F ratio from 12.5:1 to 12:1, again, based on Gabe's expertiese.

Image
Once we fine tuned it, pulled 368HP/322lbs. of TQ...

He had the computer on "SAE" (Simulated Automotive Efficiency), which I asked him to put it on, so I could give you guys a comparison for what kind of a gain you'd be looking at with the Supra MAF and the Y-pipe installed. He now keeps the computer on "uncorrected," which the max the car pulled on that setting was 226HP, which I know isn't right.

So, with the same shop, same dynojet and de-tuning slightly...the Supra MAF sensor, Dats Y-pipe, and Midias's high-flow cat....I gained 82 extra HP and 53 ft. lbs. of TQ.

*Gabe, you were right when you said that MAF sensor was a beast. And sorry I didn't call you while I was in the process, forgot to bring the number.

**I did take videos, just need some time for them to be "approved." Will post when their done.

Pretty much the same as everybody else's who've upgraded their pulley and done fuel work, which is why I don't really believe those numbers myself. It seems pretty far fetched to me, unless I have some kind of super solara that already had internals when I bought the car, which I doubt.

Glad to hear the highflow car supported your mods and did not limit power much. So how bad did that thing stink after the dyno runs.

With honesty, Your car are one of the few cars that has pushed out allot of power yet the car sounds and feel less stressful which means your car is working flawlessly.

But on the other hand. Did you get that feeling of pain to see your car go through all that stress on the dyno? I know when I had my car dyno that the only thing I can think of is OMG OMG is it going to blow. Dont push those new pipe and cat to hard. Let it finish its heat treated process hehe.

Other then that Im loving it. Car sounds like its breathing comfortablely.

Didn't stink too bad really, I think the paint had cured before I got it on the dyno. Smelt more clutch than anything.

^^agreed, they do seem awfully high, but it was on a dynojet, so those numbers correspond to wheel horsepower.
