So I've decided that my first real aftermarket mod to accompany my Denso Iridium plug replacements and Magnecor Wires, is going to be a custom fabricated FULL CAI! I found a place that HorsePower Freaks actually recommends all their customer to, to have custom fabrication and/or install done. They are called FORGED PERFORMANCE. Gonna be full CAI, dropped down below the fog light i believe... They are gonna draw up all my options tomorrow. Bypass valve, Hydro shield, the whole nine yards. I'm way excited. Anyone else here have a full CAI? Pix would be great, post your pix of your intakes. Can't wait to post results myself

I had a full cai very easy to make only 1 45 degree from the TB then a straight with a maf adapter then a 90 degree bend into the muffler. Here is my first incarnations using the stock resonator for a less buzzy sound. Later I used matching couplers and a pipe in place of the resonator but found no gain. It was extremely easy to do.

I would get the OBX intake and have them build off that it will save cash and make sure you have the correct MF adapter.

make sure they use 2.75" piping

3" will throw a CEL
3" CA extension will not fit into the fender (without cutting through your engine bay)
3" will need a retune of a/f ratios to prevent throwing a CEL

just curious...how much are you planning on spending for this custom CAI setup?

and you should dyno your car before/after, and then compare to CP-E results to see if the CP-E is better, worse, or about the same as the custom setup.
