well today i tried to install my pipe during lunch and i was very very unpleased to say the least. this crap needs to be modified which is very unkewl. to the rest of you... the flanges on the test pipe are supposed to be at an angle. like dat said its the flex hittin. got pics comin soon for you guys that think your gonna make it work without moddin it.
Image
the pipe is all the way on on the front manifold but wont go on the rear manifold all the way cuz of the flex section . the flex is hitting the frame in this pic

Im working it out to send you guys money or somethign to get it repaired.

The one piece style Pipe was a 100% fitment but my friend said the two piece would do good and I went with it as everyone liked it more. Its mainly the flex. Its up farther and I havnt gotten a chance to touch it.

As soon I get a return phone call for him to come online and work things out please bare with me.

I promise to figure things out for you guys. Unfortunately I am the only one with the one piece and its currently not with me.

Please bare with me. Im still waiting for him to get back at me.

that pic shows my problem with the rear flange having to be off by a little bit. For my camry, the flex has a little bit more clearance, but im betting if the flanged did end up fitting, it might rub as well.

Thanks Dat for taking care of the problem, for me, just take your time and worry about it after Christmas. Enjoy and be stress free. Thanks again

Thanks. He hasnt called me back yet. I have no power nor money to do anything at the moment without him here.

Only thing I can say is I think he is going to refund some money to get it rewelded at you guys local shop. If you guys want you can go to a local shop and have it rewelded. For the flex part its just moving it down to before the flang for the mid pipe and moving that pipe part to the spot where the flex use to be. Its like flipping it around. Flangs can easily be moved.

For solara it looks like the flangs are off but 3/4 gap makes it looks like it I believe. All flangs and pipe route are original to REAL stock fitment when I had it welded. They are100% identical when fitted to two solara. Its just the mid flex that makes them off.

IFFFF you guys want to just take it to a shop for now and have that pipe flipped to fit and as soon as my friend calls me back and post up we'll try refund some money or something. Either way you guys are still saving money from what I had to pay to get it done and this project ISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS a nonprofit so bare with me.

SOrry Im trying as hard as I can. Take it to a weld shop or performance shop and they can reweld it for cheap. I would draw or show you guys but I dont even have a Y pipe with me. Ive driven my car for 2 or 3 months now just to get my own pipe copied and I still dont have my own back. Please bare with me to take it to a local shop for now or so until we get a reply.

I can't speak for everyone, but Dat has earned my trust. I know you'll take care of the problem. So like Castro said, don't stress. Enjoy the holidays!

I was going to install today, but then I saw this... so best bet is to lay low for a while and just wait til Dat speaks to the maker right? then we'll get some cash back to get it re-welded?

Dat...don't want you to spend anything out of your own pocket, but since mine hasn't been shipped yet, could they fix the problem before it's shipped or would I have to wait and see if my setup will be effected as well?

Got a reply. He had a family reunion.

We both are putting what money we got to refund some money back to you guys. Its not much I understand but thats all we good since we didnt make a penny off it really. A local shop can reweld it easily.

Sorry guys. Im letting go of my solara and it was nice to try to help you guys. Lesson learn from this.

EDIT I am no longer going to a shop today none of them seem able to do stainless and the one that can the guy who does it is out for the week. So tomorrow I will try again.

But I plan to move the flex down so it will fit.
