I believe he was just refering to the air portion of the AFR for diesel being so large... not the plugs... showing a leaner afr in some applications can be appropriate.

the plasma booster ignition module it is much more willing to advance at higher RPM.

So, it over-rides the ECM advance limit?

the added ignition power will enable leaner mixtures and handle them effectively.

The only things important to igniting lean mixture are a large plug gap and a lot of advance. If the plug fires now, more "ignition power" won't make any difference. The lean mix is under very low cylinder pressure, and requires less voltage, amps etc. than high load.

I guess the plasma booster would simply allow the ECM to give into more advance given the programmed limits on a particular range.

Not sure but I do know in other applications it acts the same way. I am just remembering from the test runs I made while logging the data from the OBD2 port.
