trd4life wrote:Greg i suggest Redline synthetic, AMSOIL synthetic, or Royal Purple synthetic. All of those are REALLY good oils.

I just asked Tacoma owners, on another forum, and they say it does nothing for them. But I will just wait to see Larry's.

I've read a numer of different places where some swear by it and others swear about it. Just like a number of other mods made available for our cars some like, some don't.

GOt the spacer today it fits on nicely, but the bolts that came with it are too long so I will be going to home depot tommorrow I think about 65 mm should be good. I would have it done today but I had to work.

OK I got it in. The Home Depot did not have 65mm m8X 1.25 bolts just 70 and 60, so in a lapse of good judgment I got 60mm The fit on the top 2 holes no washer. I will be getting 70 mm eventually. 60 mm does NOT fit the bottom 2 holes. I used the 90 mm that came with it and 2 washers each from the kit; I will probably try 70 mm later on. Other than that install was easy.

How did it feel well it is hot out today so I cannot wait for evening to really have fun but I do feel like midrange has had a nice improvement and I would recommend it as a cheap mod for other people. Second gear feels a lot nicer and the powerband feels smoother. I will try to get pictures soon.

****** Update
On the top use m8 X 1.25 70mm long and on the bottom use 2 of the 90 mm long that came with the kit and 2 washers under each 90 and 1 under each 70mm. You will need to also buy 2 m8 washers for the top sense the kit only comes with 4.

Thanks for the positive feedback. I was starting to feel like I was being beat on. :-)

Cool! Can't wait to hear or see results of your progress. I'm sure you'll be happy with the results.

Redline, Purple, or Mobil1 synthetic work great. I dyno'd with Mobil1 10w30. Good luck with the tuning this week.

Took it out last night and it is defiantly more responsive around midrange and when you shift from about 5.5k into the next gear or downshift to 3rd from 65 mph. I also noticed the intake sound had changed slightly not good or bad but different.
