man, thos of you guys that are waiting, be warned. Since the original ~20 people that were interested have disappeared and the list updated to ~7-8 sure buyers any extra pipes if any will be expensive. Youll be lucky if Dat still sells you one since it will be an extremely limited production. If you are interested in this pipe, buy now or youll be sorry. For all the buyers and 3 additional later buyers, thanks for the support and making this happen. :drinking:

fo sho fo sho!, haha, I'm just glad someone found a way for me to run with no-cat. legality issues asides, i'd always thought that the catylic converter is choking up so much of the exhaust system.
on a different topic. I told my buddy bout this group buy that i'm in, and he bought up a good question. I havn't actually gotten down and look at the stock y-pipe, but what was the original diameter of that? Whatever it is, it bolts up to the headers and the rest of the exhaust sytem exactly right? Well, since the straight y-pipe is of a bigger diameter (2.5", correct me if i'm wrong), how will it bolt up to the stock exhuast manifold and the pipe after the y-pipe (the resonator I guess) ? will there be a fitment issure? or are there gaskets to connect them?

yes it will bolt up and there will be no fitment issues. Even though its different diameter, the flanges used will work with the gaskets etc.

Hey, I have a quick question about fitment,
I was looking at pictures i've taken of the stock Y-pipe and I noticed something
Image
There's a bend after the flex pipe, and
Image
a bend before the cat. But on the new y-pipe
Image
it's straight throughout. I'm guessing the stock pipe was bent like that so that it can fit properly under the car. is this new pipe going to fit alrite? since it's going striaght and not bending over anything?

I had the whole pipe slant up to retain its "straight" Y pipe haha. I dont like too much bends. Bends=Pressure/restrictions...

Now too little bend is bad too, but this is not the case.

Plus I think it saves your pipe too when you bottom out.

sooo... is funboy in or out of the buy? just wondering cause a lot of people ask questions and act important and interested, but in the end, it was all talk. not trying to discourage people, but if its been tested and fitted before, it should work and there should be no questions about "are the hp increases worth it?" since it is ultimately up to the owner to decide if the solara is worth modding.

I'm still in, I should be able to pay in 2 weeks or so if that's cool. I'll shoot for even sooner, though.
