for what i know i can make it longer, i just wanted to hear wat other people had to say. actualy i was just going to get a heat shield instead of more pipe that would block the heat from the engine so the air would come in colder. or i was going to drop the intake down under the battery behind the fog light. which would you do.

neither. Sell that pos ebay intake and buy an injen like Damon said, and try to find an extension for it. Or if you are serious about getting a real intake (because i know you will stay N/A) go for the CP-E.

Jesus Christ read some posts I have said many times the problem is the diameter being 3 inches and messing with the MAF signals. For a stock computer you need 2.75 inch with the maf set in the middle for any gains in performance. Now take it off before you blow your engine because it is too lean.

So to repeat the length DOES NOT MATTER. THE DIAMETER DOES.

Seriously how an you not get this yet. Throw it in the TRASH.

I usually see people do stupid, cheap and ineffective mods like that ebay intake and fart cannon on their old civics or integras, but I don't see that much often with a Solara.

d4008, why can't you listen to the members here and buy a REAL aftermarket intake system? They sure as hell know more about the Solara than you do!
