From a value and resources perspective, I would have saved money to buy a nice muffler and have them hack up and weld your exhaust only one time. After you find out that your newly bought 30 something dollar muffler doesn't make the "right" kind of noise you'll want to rip it off of your car in a heartbeat.

That's just me though, I'm finicky like that. Especially since I don't make the kind of money I should be making in order to mod my car. When it comes to smaller things like this, I'm a "do it once, do it right" kind of guy.

To bad young kids can afford solaras now and put stupid ugly ricer crap like that on them.

At least go buy a flange to mount the muffler so you don't ruin the stock pipe that way when you want to put a quality piece on you can just un-bolt it.

Enjoy the 1hp gain it might give you.

Agreed, prices are low enough that they can decide between a Civic or Solara to rice out. The OP decided on the Solara

This was mine back in the day, classier is better with the Solara.

Although I agree with everyone else, I think since you already bought the muffler might as well install it don't expect any hp gains though. As for the wing, the solara trunk lid has a sharp edge so anything but a lip will look awkward IMO
