do wat u like first. im 18 also and yea dude its a crap load of money to spend on the solara. i would recomend working on handling first.

lower the car, get a stiffer suspension, and fsb and rsb. handling is alot more important than speed. but thats just me, whatever route you go gg on the solara and gl with getting what you want
1999 Toyota Solara- TRD Short Shift, TRD Rear and Frotn sway bar, and TRD Strut car, Stage 3 body kit and 12k HIDS.

Rsb?
Sway Bar?
Injen or Cpe intake?
Fuel mod and torque mod?

rsb = rear sway bar = tightens up the rear and improves your handling a lott.

sway bar - whiteline makes a front sway bar which goes under the car in the front and also improves handling and same as the trd (toyota racing development) rsb (^)
Injen / CP-E intakes bring more air into motor, IMO, injen made the car louder and responded a bit quicker, but idk about power (then again my car has more lil probs then i can even name lol) CP-E is dyno-proven to give more power and if you want power, go with that..

fuel mod / torque rod well, its best i leave that to someone else but this is what i know - fuel mod will help control/add more fuel to the motor to help it run better, and the torque rod helps put more torque to the wheels under heavy acceleration and hard shifts.

If you want your car to feel faster, you should also make sure all the common maintenance is done. You'll be surprised how much that can help..
are avalons supposed to be this fast?

IMO....if you need to know what parts will do what, you should research and educate yourself on the basics before you go installing something

I agree.

First the cheapest mods you can do for you car to feel alittle better, somethin' that's really easy to install until you get some more knowledge about some more complicated mods to install. IMO

Easy mods

1. SuperPro poly dogbone bushin'.
2. Jim's or ASG14 torque rod.
3. Front strut bar.
4. TRD rear sway bar.
5. Energy Suspension rear control arm bushin'.
6. K & N air filter for now til you get enough fundin' for a better intake, IMO don't cheap out.
7. Exhaust - Greddy Evo, TRD exhaust, Apexi W.S. [if you can find one].
8. Spark plugs, and Spark plug wires.

Moderate Complicated mods

1. TEIN S-Tech lowerin' springs and TOKICO HP blue struts.
2. JIC or K-Sport coilovers [if fundin' is there].
3. Twin piston front brake caliper upgrade.
4. Goodridge SS brake lines.

That's all i can think of.
2000 Solara SE auto V6. Diamond White Pearl.
Top Speed Run finished at 130 mph. :o
Too many modifcations for the signature.

1 - search the forum
2 - ur auto, so fix the handling/suspension first
3 - research how to make engines fast.....there's many ways to do this, and they all cost money.

First things to do.

1. Search the forum

2. Read the hundreds of threads exactly like yours other people have started

3. Search the forum to answer your new questions.

4. Post about any questions that have not been answered already.

the trd sway bar is the rear sway bar (rsb), and yes you will feel a difference and it will increase if you upgrade to tokicos/eibach or teins or h&r OR coilovers.
