Here is one of the posts from Under pressure that mentions a 18 whp gain on a supercharged engine from a CAI. I cannot find the dyno chard as of now and I did not look too hard I am tired.

anything is better than the stock intake, a pringles can with a filter on it is better than stock, how many race cars or hot rods do you see with stock intakes, you dont, thats why theres an after market industry, for performance minded people.................. :drinking:

cia is the way to go.if the sound is too loud turn up the stereo. i have cia's on my camry , silverado, all 4 harley's and i'd put one on my lawn mower if they made one. the stock box is very restictive. hp gains on the bikes are about 5 to 10 with no other mods depending on with one you get. more air in the better. i would think with a s/c ,the gains have to be worth putting one on.

I have to agree with Damon on this one. You may pick up a couple hp with sri or cai, but nothing to warrant the cost that these intakes go for. Hands down, I'd build power other ways before even touching the intake or exhaust.

As for the cp-e with a safc2 Gabe, I'd love to know what settings you used to even make the car idle with the larger 3.5" pipe, let alone have it run well. I'm not saying that it can't be done, but even Josh from cp-e told me that it took them hours on the dyno to build a map for their nontuneable piggyback.

horsepower per dollar, intake and exhaust are your best buy hands down.

Bob, frank needs to take a ride on the fastest camry w/ the 1mz3mz hybrid supercharge engine. I missed the irwindale meet but next time i'll tire to make it and run frank down.
