random question....

would a 3" exhaust be excessive for the stock v6 in anticipation of a buildup at any point??
id firmly believe it would fux any 4cyl but how bout the 1mz? might help this guy on his way
need wheels? www.memoryfab.com - ask for david

From what i've read and a pro told me who has been an aftermarket mechanic for years now... If your engine is N/A then a 3" exhaust would more then likely steal some HP from ya. You would lose overall HP and also notice much less power low end

^ Correct, a 3" exhaust is really only going to help on a boosted application. Stick to 2.5" or so for NA V6 I would say.

I had a 3" on my car with mild boltons and it was not good on low end. Stick with .25 for a v6 and 2.25 for an i4

I wound up getting a flowmaster 40-series from pepboys- $109

had it installed at meineke- $80

it was barely under my budget, but it sounds amazing so it was worth it. Thanks for all the help. next step is a TRD RSB.

Look into custom fabricating a true full CAI... that doesn't cost too much and would be worth the waiting to scrap up the rest of the cash. your more then half way there. 350ish for a custom full CAI depending on the fabricator. But honestly, i would recommend waiting and getting quality upgrades vs blowing your money as soon as you get it. 1 larger upgrade will do you much better then a couple small upgrades.

Start with the OBX SRI $80 then get a piece of 90 degree pipe you can get any cai on the market that has a 90 so about $50 then a but of time with a hacksaw and you are done for less then $150.
