Yeah, I drilled a hole in the same place to re-route the smaller vacumn hose, and yes, I also got a CEL but its now gone, Im assuming because I do a lot of HARD DRIVING and the car kinda "realized" it needed more air lol , but even if the CEL didnt go away, where I live we dont have emissions laws, or smog tests. Heck, we dont even have a sound ordinance, I leave my stereo on, (BASS), even when i'm beside a cop at a redlight. Im friends with most of them so I never get tickets, and just in case Im traveling out of town, I have a valentine One radar detector so.. no worrys 8)

Did u feel the loss of power than incorrect air intake into the engine for couple days or a week at least? someone says its ok with 3inch just drive for awhile same like u bro, then its will go away n gain some power eventually, too bad ive already ordered the Injen....

In my hometown, cops like whoever tunned their car n suitups, they will follow n check lisense plate, over here fews peoples drive Solara, maybe im the 3rd Solara with the Lipkit n TRD accessories, just now this afternoon, cops follow me for 1 mile when i was goin to my friend shop for the Keyless-Program. Laws in my town is stupid.

1, U cant lower too low
2, ur muffler not too loud
3, No offroad lights "blue foglight etc."
4, No neon undercar light
5, Engine mod maybe get some fine too, not sure about TRD Supercharge, my friend bought a 92 Prelude with heavy mod n got screwed on Freeway. Cop took away his car. They said this vehicle is illegal on canadian roads. FOk that Cop. Me n my friend talked/asked one of the Ex-cop he was in Traffic-Unit, he told us it is ok for anything but dont DRAW too much attention some puss-sy Cop will give u hard time.

I got TRD Supercharge for my Celica but never had cops open up my hood yet, Toyota said its legal though.

Maybe i move to ur Town hahhaaha

^ that's because all the ebay intakes are the same manufacture just some take the pipe and powder coat and add a different filter.

Yup we can remake the pipe n make it 2.75, i thought of the idea, find somethin with 2.75 n put it in the regular 3.00 pipe.

If you're good at welding, you could cut out the maf plate off your ebay intake (it is currently welded on), buy some 2.75 inch aluminim piping, smooth out the edges on the maf plate, cut out roughly the same shape on the new piping and weld it on there, then drill some holes, and either weld on small metal tubes for the vacumn vacumn lines, OR glue in some plastic ones. You would need a MIG welder for this project, and some aluminum welding wire. Also, if you've got a dremel or any other polishing tool, you could shine it up, just like then injen setup.

I cut a slit down mine and reworked it to a 2.75 inch pipe but the maf no longer sat in the middle of the pipe and still gave me problems so I said screw it and bought a HKS adapter

You would have to raise the maf plate up so it sits in the center of the pipe.

To make my ebay special work I made a restrictor out of a couple pieces of thin aluminum. Just slid it into the pipe at the MAF opening. I never connected the small vac line, it's just a purge valve for the EVAP system, it won't leak or hurt anything not to use it. I'll be done with this intake soon though, I just bought an Injen today from ebay. 8)
Trust me, I'm a technician.
