Talk about aftermarket Toyota Solara Gen 1-1.5 upgrades.

Is it worth it getting the ecu upgrade on an auto?

Maybe that upgraded ECU was really a AEM standalone.

I enjoy the video as well. Reminds me of a few supra videos I've seen.

even if it is a gold plated AEM stand alone with titanium screws and magnesium housing, i still HIGHLY doubt it can pull away from a SCed Solara. How does a fine tuned ECU able to gain 40% more hp?

SC auto larars are not much faster than a 5 speed lara that might be how. I would be willing to race a supercharged auto lara with my NA 5 speed

That is false about the ECU upgrade.

My S/C Solara pulled harder than my stock Subaru. Having said that, I will be stageII this spring :)

SC auto solara isnt much faster? I dono about that.

the 4psi auto solara puts out maybe 187 - 197 whp and around the same torque asa well.

The manual, n/a (dynoed by a member on here) only got like 155whp....

Stock auto runs about .6-.8 slower on the 1/4 the supercharger alone will not get you all that much more than that besides I remember someone here testing sc auto vs 5 speed at one point. And them being about even.
