Camry header on Solara

Camry header on Solara

Months ago I briefly talked to Midias about this but I would like to know some other things along with other input. Does anyone know if the I4 camry header will fit on a I4 solara. I am assuming that the header will bolt directly onto the engine (both 5s-fe's). How much work would be required to allow this to bolt up to the rest of the exhaust. Can anyone provide me with a picture of the original xerd header for the solara for comparison. Last, around how much hp gain could i expect from adding a header along with a high flow cat. Any information about this is greatly appreciated.

Once again I am going to say should be a direct bolt on I have no doubt the upper part will fit perfectly.

I have been researching this greatly. There is not much information dealing with the 4 cyl. I did find the v6 install though opposite of what I am trying to do. This was installing v6 headers for a Solara on a Camry. The only fitment issues dealt with the rear header which I would not have. I know this is a different engine then what I have but I don’t want to do any fabrication on this. I am hoping both of you are right, if not it is not a big deal. Midias you are an expert in this field so I do trust what you say. I am just hoping for the best and a hassle free experience. I will order these within the next few weeks and keep everyone updated.

If it would work in the Gen 4 Camry it should work in the Solara. Throttle response is much better with the Ripp headers that I have.
Let's just pretend I didn't grow up, or you're going to be terribly disappointed.

I wish you luck I know my wifes 5sfe camry frame and exhaust look exactly like my solara's V6 frame and exhaust with the exception of the Y pipe. I honestly don't think you will have any issues unless the camry of the same year would also have issues such as manufacture mistakes.

Good luck with being the pioneer.

Are you going to attach a cat to the header or make a custom exhaust to go with it?

I may get a high flow cat eventually but I bought TRD4Lifes ancient Tanabe catback exhaust that I am in love with. So when I get the header and cat, I will put that on and make changes a little while after it is on.
