OBX or Ebay?

OBX or Ebay?

Postby usoff89 » Mon Apr 19, 2010 3:26 pm

I'm about to buy the headers for the car and need some help deciding. I've heard good things about the obx headers, and and also about the ebay. Forgive me if this has been covered before. I just need to know if the ebay one's are worth saving the extra $150. I don't like the y-pipe on the ebay ones, which means I would have to have one made.

Any suggestions? Thanks, Mike

Well from what i remember, OBX has good fitment and not too shabby quality. As for ebay.. well im sure there are different companies manufacturing them so it might be a hit or miss.

ok, well I was leaning towards obx anyway. But, does anybody know if they are 3inch after the y-pipe?

The y pipe is 2.5 but the exhaust is 3 inch.

I have both the OBX headers and exhaust. They both have had no problems other than the CEL being on for a lack of cat. I have used a O2 sensor antifouler. They add more power across the powerband and give the car a nice grumble.

I just bought the headers and the exhaust today! I can't wait to get it on the car. I also ordered the nonstoptuning lite weight crank pully and a throttle body spacer.

Some more goodies coming soon hopefully. Any performance comments on the headers and exhaust capared to stock?

Maybe on a supercharged car but more like 10 hp on a non supercharged car.

Yeah I'd love to do the 5spd swap in it one day. Won't be anytime soon. Your camry looks sick by the way!
