i thought it was opposite
cuz i def lost low end tq after my sri install

Yeah, he mixed those two up. You gain mid/high rpm with the sri and more low-end with CAI.

Just check out the 100 or so other posts about intakes made in the last couple months. The basics don't get the ebay special go for the OBX for 35 bucks search on ebay for Camry OBX. Also the search function could have easily answered your question. The topic of HP gain has been discussed to death.

hmmm cause ive only had gains in what ive said, i gained small amount of hp but at lower end but lost them from idle to 1000 but picked up from say... 1300 to 4500.

and my friend installed a cold air on his 06 supercharged cobalt ss and dynoed it not too long after and before the install and he gained in the mid to high rpm range?

idk maybe is where im located with air and stuff i have no idea but thats what ive experienced and noticed, maybe different intakes and filters make a bigger difference then i had previously thought....

but im not sure about hp and tq, maybe you lose tq at low but gain hp at low and vise versa and then the opposite with cold air, not sure, i havnt looked at many dyno sheets, just my friends and thats what we found

^ I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that the filter does make a difference. In short, OBX filters are crap. I replaced it with the Fujita F5 filter, just because I didn't want to spend the money on the Apexi, which is extremely highly rated, and it was very similar in design. It's almost a night and day difference between the two. The Fujita gave me my low end back, and was smoother through the entire rpm range.

DEFINITELY get the SRI!

I gained like 2 MPG highway when I installed my Injen SRI, and it sounds ama-z-z-z-zing!

I turned heads when I went WOT (wide open throttle) from the growl coming from under my head. Sexiest thing ever. Now I have a performance exhaust and I can't hear it anymore over the sound of the exhaust haha. Oh well.

Like others have said, get the Injen or OBX brand, stay away from any cheapo eBay crap.

You have a deloren? reallly?

Yup :D my dad bought it brand new back when he was in college.

Its in literally perfect cosmetic and mechanical condition, has 20,xxx miles, and we have tons of brand new replacement pieces for it that we bought just in case something ever happened and we couldn't get ahold of new parts (like a new dashboard, new center console, new roof, etc.)
