okay....installed the obx header the other day....the engine light came on....I know that there is no cat on the y-pipe or header, thus i am guessing that the high air flow is seting off the engine light through the O2 sensors.....but, for those of you who have an obx header or jpp header...

how do i get rid of the engine light?

However, things i already did;
I got rid of the code the other day with my obd II reader, but i came back on
took out the light blub on the engine light signal on the dash board, but the the light in my head still shines....so it didn't work also

You need an o2 sim to clear the CEL. This one works perfect:

TRD Bodykit, Eibach, Tokico, BBS, OBX headers/y-pipe, Custom 2.5" Magnaflow/Dynomax, PowerStop, Goodridge, AFE.

I just got a spacer for the O2 sensor. I forgot the exact name of the part but it basically mounts the O2 sensor farther away from the exhaust flow and tricks your ECU into thinking the catalytic converter is still present.

So the million dollar question what was the code when you cleared it?

I just sent an email to URD asking for the installation instructions because I have their O2 Simulator that I need to install also. I'll post the reply for you.

Yeah what code were you getting?

Not having an O2 simulator after getting the OBX set up doesn't affect air fuel ratio right? My MPG has gone down the drain and now I'm wondering if it's the lack of simulator. From what I've heard though its only the front two O2 Sensors that have a say.

The URD website claims the back O2 sensor does affect AFR,
"Toyota started using a wideband type O2 sensor (air/fuel ratio) in the front position for better engine control. These wideband type sensors need to be recalibrated from time to time by the ECU. The ECU uses the rear sensors for this recalibration process. The ECU cannot properly recalibrate the wideband sensor using a falsely generated signal. This process is explained here, US Patent 5706654."

two codes is what the reader said..

"P0420 and P0420pd"

Catalyst Efficiency below threshold bank 1"

I don't understand where bank 1 is, but i would take a guess that it is the O2 sensor behind the cat. that is throwing things out of place

Yeah I think I was just reading an article about P0420, that sounds right. Dunno why ur getting two though.

I might be getting a high flow cat installed soon (between 2 weeks to 2 months) which should negate my need for my URD 02 Simulator. If I do get the cat I'll offer you my simulator if you still need one.
