I did exactly like the 1st picture, using Injen guilde, the thing is our air intake has only 2 connections hookup but there are 3 hoses connection from engine, u see the small hose in the middle from the 1st picture ? our intake does not have that small hole to hook that small hose so i custom make screw a hole and put a plastic straw to connect that small hose in, it is losen ofcourse when the engine get hot, im not sure if because of that hose is lose, when i pulled out n look i saw a little piece of plastic that i cuts stuck in the hole, it probably the vacum-hose and the small hose that i custom-made.

It was late so we havnt got time to retry, hey Latindragon my friend's car is Automatic tranmission is it ok for him to install Air-intake ? i should have told him to buy Injen air intake cause injen has the 3 connection to hook those 3 hoses from the engine, no need to think, i installed it for my wife it was fine but her car is 5speed. Thanks very much for the pics Latindragon, the 2nd pic look the same as my wife's car, her car use stock hoses :)

the intake should work on both types, mine is an auto and what you did to fit the hose sounds fine but you want to make sure it seals. do you have a pic of the intake?

this is the site that my friend bought > http://www.toofastmotors.com/intake.html scroll down and u will see Air intake for Toyota/Camry/Solara V6 i bought from different store but they are the same with no name or brand. This one is cheap as ebay only 60$ can mine is around 90$ +tax, check it and see there only 2 connectios n for the hose from engine to hookup, i asked the machanic he said cheap always problem so that why i make another hole by myself.

The Toyota Celica is easier, the solara is kinda complicate. I hope my wife's car does not have that censor, will check 2morrow aswell, thanks D-money.

^^ No wonder your pulling a CEL. That intake look like the one on Ebay.

Get rid of that and buy an Injen or a CPE intake.

Yup the ebay intake. You can drill another hole and slip in the small hose anywhere in the pipe. But in the end the 3 inch pipe will mess with your MAF good luck.

You have a vacuum leak. I just installed my Injen SRI in my v6 Solara with no problems. Your intake should have three hookups not two.

Sounds like a case of not reading the posts. He has an ebay intake which has 2 ports not 3 and you have the correctly made intake from injen.

Exactly lol guess what ? my wife's car is also messed with the "CHECK" sensor on, dam waste 160 bucks on both my friend n wife cars for nothing, waste money waste time, no wonderin my wife said this Air Intake feel weaker than STOCK AIR INTAKE, but it makes great sound though, no need to get a hi-flow muffler, i just got a ticket for "TOO LOUD Muffler" 110$ dollars on my Celica, canadien law is now very stupid, if u lower ur car too low u will also get ticket, anyways everyone thanks for the great infos i appreciated all.

I wonder how is the sound of Injen or CPE air intake sound like. thanks again guys.
